Like attracts Like

Like attracts Like..this is the Law of Attraction.

How to do a Depth of Field on Smartphone

On DSLR camera to do a depth of field is easy to manage by changing the aperture but on smartphones you get little control over your depth of field.

The easy way to take control of your depth of field on your smartphone I recommend to do this..

1. Tell your phones where to focus by tapping on the screen. If you want the foreground in focus, tap on objects or  something close to the camera and your backgrond will be blur automaticly.

2. The more objects of your foreground close to the camera and the more somewhat of the background distants. You can definetly get a dept of field and background blur.

By doing so your photos will look good and may be great similar to do it one the expensive DSLR camera.

Want to make your Smartphone Photos look more Awesome.
You may need the extraordinary kits like:

The Rule of Thirds, the Rule of Thumb for all Photographers

A simple principle but powerful technique

The rule of thirds is a simple principle but powerful compositional technique for making photos more interesting.

As you can see on my photos showing here, I always use the Rule of Thirds for my guidelines to Composition.

When I use  the rule of thirds I will imagine the grid (nine equal squares) on my mind and then place the strongest subject or focal points into the four points where lines intersect.  If your smartphone camera has grids, this should be much easier.

By doing so I can make my photographs more interesting even I took it  with Smartphones.

Tips For Taking Better Photos With Your Smartphone

Cropping instead of Zooming.

For professional photographers you may prefer to use DSLR cameras, but for most of us today you are just getting a photo with Smartphone that is easy and always with us.

But the problems with smartphone's camera is the more you zoom in, the more you lose detail. because there is no physically lens to move in to magnify the image like it does on Digital cameras or DSLR cameras.

You will notice that as soon as you start zooming by pinching, the photos simply become a blur and lose detail.

In the event that you would like to concentrate or zoom on something in particular. I recommend to do this...

1. Get close to the Subject as close as you can.

2. Take a normal photograph.

3. Go to photo gallery on you phones and then cropping on something that you want in particular.

By doing so you will have a better shot that look good and may be great. Sometime I create my artist photography by this way as well.

Cropping allows you to enlarge the image while still retaining a decent amount of resolution to make the photo a good one.

Surprisingly by cropping, you will get more than one photo from just one shot that you took.

Try it and you can make better Photos with  just your Smartphone.

(If you want to have a good telephoto for your smartphone, let's try the new Universal Smart Phone Camera Lens Kit  a new kit of Smartphone that will make your images look great and look more professional)

Photography Composition finding the picture

Mike Browne is one of my favourite photographers. He did a lot of video tutorials on Youtube. Here is one of his video tutorials teaching about "Finding Composition for your picture" and I really love his
Photography training courses.

He said "Photography composition isn't a technical thing. It lives outside the camera in the world around us and through your eyes. The trick is to liberate the subject from it's surroundings into a pleasing composition. It's about learning to spot the picture."

Let's have a look on his tutorials.

The first sign of Spring's approach.

Crocuses are a small flower notable for their early Spring bloom. It is the first sign of Spring's approach and the returns of the colourful season of the year.

Looking on Wikipedia explained that it is a genus of flowering plants in the iris family comprising 90 species of perennials growing from corms. Many are cultivated for their flowers appearing in autumn, winter, or spring.

Crocuses are native to woodland, scrub, and meadows from sea level toalpine tundra in central and southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, on the islands of the Aegean, and across Central Asia to Xinjiang Province in western China.

Crocuses is the first signs of Spring and announcing the new beautiful season is on the way.

Beauty in the negative space

I used to look for the main subjects (positive space) to shoot a photo  but now I am looking for the negative space instead (space around the subject)  to make my photo look more beautiful. Please have a look.

Location: RDS Ballsbridge, Dublin Ireland

The percentage of negative and positive space depends on the situation.
Sometime 50/50, sometime 70/30 or 30/70

Black and White Photography make me see the world in other way.

Black and White Photography may sound boring for many people but for me it make me see the world in other way.

Black and White Photography can make my brain works as an artists painting on canvas. I can experiment all of the Photography Element to my images, source of lights, shade and shadow, pattern, leading lines, composition, the percentages of main subject and negative space and many more.

The more I practice, the more I learn.
